Handling
From sealed vial to logged solution.
Four steps we recommend for every compound in the catalog.
- 01
Receive
Check the label against your order
Every vial is marked with compound, amount and storage temperature. Confirm them, and note the lot information for your records.
- 02
Store
Keep it cold until you need it
Store sealed vials at the temperature printed on the label (−20 °C for the current catalog), away from direct light.
- 03
Reconstitute
Add solvent slowly, then swirl
Run the solvent down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently to dissolve. Avoid shaking. Use the calculator below to plan the volume.
- 04
Record
Log what you prepared
Write down the lot, preparation date, solvent volume and resulting concentration so the work can be repeated.
Reading a chromatogram
How an HPLC purity figure is read.
HPLC separates a sample into its components, which reach the detector at different times. Each one shows as a peak. Purity is reported as the main peak’s area as a share of the total peak area.
Tool
Concentration calculator
Pick a vial and a solvent volume to see the resulting concentration. Plain arithmetic for planning lab preparations.
